In the year 1986 - Mizoram was made a full state and as per the constitutional provision and preparations were made for setting up the Mizoram Public Service Commission. After all the required preparations were made the Mizoram Public Service Commission was set up ready to begin work on 1.5.1991. 

The Mizoram Public Service Commission makes its own rules and regulations for the promotion and recruitment of personnel’s under the Mizoram Government and presides over the Mizoram Government Employees according to these rules and regulations.
